Afterthought is now 10 years old! IMO this track defines what D&B was like in 2013! God I sometimes miss this vibe! So nostalgic! Definitely one of Ivy Lab’s best tracks! And Frank Carter III will always be a great vocalist!

My favorite type of dnb. A combination of great, soulful vocals with a decent chord progression, and a calming ambience that just makes me forget what I was supposed to be doing....

Wow.... I saw Frank Carter and after hearing him on Oblique I was hoping for similar, this is an incredible tune, not disappointed :D

i agree completely, its the work behind the work that makes the tune so beautiful and easy on the ears.
From a producing standpoint, im almost certain they've made all the drums in this, or if there is a break its extremely quiet.
A lot of work needed to make a well constructed track whilst keeping it simple, as you've said already, simple doesnt make it easy

Im not trying to bite you for your comment, but you can rest assured that there is a lot of talent and skill gone into their tracks, they're 3 highly respected producers in the drum and bass scene come together as one and from producing viewpoint myself, its very hard to keep a song flowing and beautiful yet keep it simplistic at the same time.
Either way, do you like it? I guess it depends where your tastes lie. I love stuff like this

Sampling is EVERYWHERE in music, from that shit you see in the charts all the way to the more underground genres. It normally isn't considered stealing unless large un-edited samples are used, and besides, i'm sure Critical sound contacted the original owner of the sample! If it was stolen they would have just released it as a bootleg!
