I've been rewatching this anime for years now since it came out, and it never occurred to me that I haven't listed it in my MAL during those years. When I first watched this, I am still in denial to a part of my identity that I confidently wear now. In those years of rewatch was also years of struggles and each time, despite not understanding myself, watching this anime has always been validating— comforting even.

Bloom Into You isn't perfect, it's too short and I really wish there were more episodes into it or another season. But it really is a well-done anime, from the pacing to the actual adaptation of the manga— everyone worked hard and it's just so nice to actually watch sapphic on screen without it bordering fetishization. I'm confident to this day that this is the best yuri anime there is, and if you really like it, I highly recommend checking the manga out.

I picked up this anime for the sake of sating my curiosity and for years it had become something I always come back to when I feel sad and need something familiar to watch. It's just so goddamn good.
