Foreigner Live

Foreigner is my absolutely FAVORITE group, & I think Kelly Hansen is THE BEST vocalist. He hits every note, & he OWNS the stage when he's on it. And he is not shy about giving credit to the fellow group members & not hogging it all to himself. Mick Jones found a superb replacement for Lou, who was a great vocalist in his day.
I am always looking for good full length Foreigner concerts that I can let play & just listen to, instead of finding a good song here & there. Günter Bauer Spielbach thank you for sharing this!!

i was skeptic the moment Hansen left his former band Hurricane to join Foreigner because it was weird for me seeing a great rock singer like him fronting an adult oriented rock band, but im really glad he pulled it off, hes awesome in Foreigner and the band sounds incredibly tight as well... id love to see them live again soon in vegas.

Jeff Pilson's musicianship has always impressed me, his Basswork inspires mine, and his enthusiasm as a musician puts him right up there in my top 10 influences as a true natural on the bass.

Reading all these comments, why does one singer have to be better than the other? Can't we just be happy that Foreigner are wrapping up their career with their dignity intact ( yes, I realize that Mick is the only original member left)? I remember seeing Kelly with Hurricane in 1988 (yes, Im that old). I remember thinking this guy is WAY bigger than the average front man. Even then, he knew how to respond to a crowd. He had frontman written all over him. I was/am so happy for his success. He friggin earned it. He's also been nothing but respectful of Foreigner's history. That being said, Lou is the originator, he (and Mick) crafted these great songs that will on well after we're all long gone. Can you give the world a greater gift? So, I can care less who sings better and in what key. They're both amazing vocalists and musicians. Just be happy for the music.

I always felt that Foreignor never got the fame they deserved. Loved em to bits myself. Great music, especially to drive to.

Love this band since they came out! Mick Jones can write a song that is timeless!! If you don't agree, you are not listening! This band is a prime example of a band that had huge radio play and almost nobody knows who wrote the songs? Well, true Foreigner do!! It's good to see that Mick can still play the crap out of his guitar. Mick Jones and his band were my guitar teachers along with AC/DC etc.. Thank you for helping me be the player I am today! I'm 57. Still playing heavy music to this day. Metallica, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, all the greats!! Thank you Mick for being an early influence on me,,, You are AWESOME!!

They started in 1976 and this performance was in 2015. 39 years later was this concert. They sounded EXACTLY like they did on recordings from 1976. UNBELIEVABLE ‼️‼️‼️🔥

I am 59 yrs old and absolutely still love Foreigner. I was fortunate enough to see them in Ottawa, Canada of Aug/85 with Joe Walsh as back up. "I want to know what Love is", is one of my favorite songs.

Will never forget this song when I first heard this double vision 1978 a jr in high school at my friend Dave house. Dave was passed out and I was rounding second with his older sister a college freshman . To be young again.

I saw Foreigner twice back in 77. Great band then with Lou Gramm and still great with Kelly Hansen singing and as always a tour de force by Mick Jones. Many thanks for posting!

that "say you will" is one of the best acoustic performances I've heard full stop. Wow.

So happy I got to see them twice, and the new lead singer is amazing, thank you for all those amazing songs

I saw Foreigner way back in 1977 in Wilmington NC. They were brand new then.... The original foreigner was king of the radio in so many ways, especially given the number of awesome artist of that time. I think Kelly does an awesome job filling Lou's shoes... His respect for Lou Gramm is clear, he has said so many times in public.. Lou's tumor took a tremendous toll on him. What I find amazing is that when Foreigner re-recorded many of their original material, they left 99% of it identical.. I credit this to Mic... Thankyou Mic for keeping the original sound intact.... They are still a class act... Here is hoping that they venture my way again.....

I saw them back in the 80s with Lou, and now they are playing the Taste festival in town June 20th 2019, and I am looking forward to seeing them with again with Kelly, he seems to be a great singer and keeps the energy and soul of the originals, we'll see you this summer!

Let's face it - time takes its toll, people get older, the music lives on and Mick had done what is necessary. He can pick some amazing musicians. Very lucky these great songs are still being performed by such exceptional talented men.

I love this chapter of Foreigner. Have seen them a few times and will be seeing them in June to say goodbye which makes me sad. 😢 Thanks for sharing

I was recently contemplating .... if I was forced the choose the best band for me in my lifetime .... then I would probably have to come closest to choosing Foreigner ... and I would have to say Kelly Hansen .. you are just right up there (at the top)... and I think it's a privilege to sing with the best band ... thanks for all the joy you gave me in my life ! That balance between rock and balad .. that's me ....I'm waiting for you in South Africa ... in Pretoria ...in October 2022 !
