    You are by far the best in giving voice training!. I believe GOD has gifted you.
    I am soprano and sing on an international prayer ministry online. Your training videos have been helping me explore and develop my range. I feel so much more confident, and often sing well at short notice.
    In addition, I love deep, or very low, soulful singing. I used to wish my voice was alto/tenor. You have helped me tap into my deeper ranges, and I am so elated with the natural tones I've discovered! I can reach high notes easily, and now I sound so versatile, to be able to sing in very low tones too. Who knew I could do that?
    I know my sweet spot but I can't always find it right away. Some days it hides from me, and that's so frustrating. Thank you for helpng me accept my voice wholeheartedly, and develop my voice, to shine for GOD'S glory! May God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks again! 🙌🏽🙏🏿

      Same here. I’ve sang in choirs and sang as lead above an entire congregation but it was hymnal music. I recently joined a worship team and I’m finding it hard to figure out my place in the mix. I was always a high soprano. But I haven’t really sang in years. My voice is definitely lower and I now tend to crack trying to go up higher until I flip into falsetto

      Important conversation to have. I’ve lost my voice being forced to sing high even though I’m more of a light baritone.

    I’m an alto, and I used to sing either alto or 2nd soprano in church choir; alto in the worship team. My best singing notes range from D3 to E5. I can go lower and higher than that, though, from B2 to G5 (A5 on a very good day). Number 15 on your scale was where my comfort level ended, but I easily got up to 18.

  • @thelmamarfo2224

    Hi. Thanks for this. I’m a female with a low range. I can easily hit a G2 so in the choir I join tenor because when I joined Alto I was kind of struggling. But you encouraged us to not limit ourselves. Probably I can join alto and with time be able to also sing along because I feel like with the tenor I’m also limiting myself. But the question is in case of a swap when I’m doing alto I don’t know how I’ll go about it but a swap is going to be easy for an alto singer. So I wanted to ask, which part do I belong and will you encourage me to sing alto or tenor? Thanks

    • @worshipvocalist
      @worshipvocalist  4 месяца назад

      Hey @thelmamarfo2224! As Charmaine mentioned in the video, the labels of "alto", "tenor", etc. can become a "box" for us, leading us to think we don't belong outside of it. It's more helpful to understand the range within which we sing well and sound good (we call that our "sweet spot"), and then with vocal exercises and diligence, that sweet spot can grow or reposition as your range expands. If the alto range feels like it's a stretch right now, don't take that to mean "you don't belong" there, but you'll require some strategic exercise to strengthen those parts of your voice! That's what our courses at worshipvocalist.com work on-strategic, specific exercises that target the different parts of our voice and grow our strength and range and endurance as vocalists!

    Hi this was a wonderful video answering many key points for worship. It’s full of great nuggets! I’m a beginner singer and finding I am strong in my head and chest voice at this time. Do you classify students right off the bat in your lessons or develop more then determine after some time?

    • @worshipvocalist

      Glad you enjoyed the video! I don't typically classify my students! But definitely not right off the bat - it's important to see how their voice develops because over time it can change!
